In the late 90s, during the dot-com boom, I worked at one of the leading online brokers. It was an exciting time to simultaneously work at a company that was disrupting an industry, while also having direct contact with customers who used the service to take control of their financial lives.

Rob Castaneda was in that large conference room for over an hour. Standing, talking, and writing all over that whiteboard. Yes. That whiteboard. And on that whiteboard were diagrams and workflows and business models that had the prospect wanting more. Much more. The meeting ran long. Throughout the intensity and deep concentration of everyone in the room, no one had caught what was happening.
