The unveiling of our Sydney Rocketorria - a learning and collaboration space for software and technology.
ServiceRocket hosted the inaugural Atlassian DevOp meetup on the 28th of October at our concept events and training facility, Rockettoria. A collaboration between our friends at Vittoria coffee and ServiceRocket.
Meshing together technologist and coffee enthusiasts.
We were proud to have this event as part of StartupWeek Sydney, a week long event aimed at promoting the local startup scene in Sydney. A core part of our business is helping technology start-ups scale and grow by helping with support, adoption and training strategies. All key ingredients to be successful in the Enterprise market.
Attendees enjoyed an assortment of noodles, deliciously prepared by Parliament On King, a fantastic organisation helping refugees get on their two feet by providing invaluable work experience.
There were two presentations on the night. Stephen Wallace, a guru in the DevOps space gave a introductory presentation on Puppet and how the IT teams of the future are being replaced by more nimble, smarter teams who can make use of technology to scale their operation.
The second presenter was our very own Training Architect, Johnny Tu. His presentation gave attendees a great overview of what Docker is and how it can be used with Bamboo to reduce the time taken for development teams to run builds and deploy their code. It was such a great presentation that Johnny was invited to speak at the next Docker User Group!
The event was a huge success with the venue reaching near capacity. There was a good mixture of attendees, ranging from start-ups to enterprises. Everyone wanted to learn how can they realise the full potential of pairing up the Atlassian Toolsets with tools such as Docker and Puppet to take their teams to the next level.
If you’re interested in attending the next event, it will be held on the 25th of November at the ‘Rockettoria’. Be sure to RSVP early as space is limited:
