Linking for Confluence Add-on Goes Premium

Posted by Azwandi Aris on March 01, 2018

Linking for Confluence is an essential utility that completes your solutions in Confluence. For the past ten years, we’ve seen many users benefiting from Linking to standardize their links and content, create dynamic links and make their Confluence solutions more efficient.

To emphasize our commitment in supporting our users and the growing usage especially in a mission-critical environment, we have rebuilt Linking from the ground up.

Users may upgrade to version 5.0 today, with added benefits:

  • A complete rebuilt, yet with the same powerful features.
  • Improved look and feel that matches Confluence experience.
  • Brand new documentation with more useful resources to guide you in optimizing the usage of Linking.
  • A number of important bug fixes that we weren’t able to fix prior to version 5.0.
  • Commercial support offering, just like what ServiceRocket offers to our other paid add-ons.

Pricing schedule (and early bird discounts!)

As of March 1st, Linking for Confluence is to be paid for at a small fraction of Confluence Server pricing. On average, this starts as low as 0.07 cents per user and this pricing scheme will begin from version 5.0.

The add-on is available for purchase both from the Atlassian Marketplace and ServiceRocket Marketplace.

FAQs

Q: I am using a free license for an older version of Linking. Do I need to purchase a license to use Linking 5.0?

Yes, you will need to purchase a commercial license for Linking. The free license is not applicable to Linking 5.0.

Q: What happens if I don’t upgrade?

You are free to use the older versions of Linking at no cost until your current free license expires. Note that ServiceRocket will no longer issue the free license.

We recommend purchasing a commercial license to keep Linking up-to-date with the latest bug fixes, features and compatibility with your Confluence version.

Q: How do I upgrade Linking to version 5.0?

You may install or upgrade the add-on via the add-on manager in Confluence, or upload the JAR file downloaded from Atlassian Marketplace. Any existing Linking macros will continue to function as usual.

Q: Where can I purchase the license?

You may purchase from ServiceRocket Marketplace or Atlassian Marketplace.

Q: Can I use the purchased license with version older than 5.0?

No. The purchased license can only be used with version 5.0 and onwards. Conversely, a license already generated for version older than 5.0 can only be used with a version older than 5.0.

Q: What version of Confluence is it compatible with?

At the time of the release of version 5.0, Confluence version 5.10.x - 6.7.x is compatible with Linking 5.0.
